Osama (Sam) S. Eisa, MD is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended LSU for both undergraduate and Medical School. He then moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UAB. He remained at UAB as a chief medical resident before going into private practice in Birmingham where he taught residents and medical students, saw patients both in the outpatient and hospital setting, was director of the non-invasive vascular lab and spent 10 years part time in the wound care clinic. In 2011 he became board certified in Hyperbaric Medicine and ran the Hyperbaric Oxygen Unit at Baptist Medical Center Princeton where he obtained Birmingham’s first accredited Hyperbaric facility. He has been the senior medical director for Cigna’s Medicare Advantage division covering the Southeast United States since June 2012. Dr. Eisa is married and loves to teach, run, duck hunt, and cook Cajun dishes.
