Harold Moses, Jr., MD

Dr. Moses earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree from the UNC School of Medicine. He completed his internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at UNC Hospitals and his neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also completed a 2-year neuroimmunology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He received fellowship support from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and received a K23 award from the NIH to support his clinical research interests. An Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Dr. Moses currently practices at the Vanderbilt Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center. He follows nearly 2000 patients at the Center. He has continued research interests in progressive MS and the development of biomarkers to help understand the likely progression of MS in individual patients.

 

Dr. Moses serves on the Professional Advisory Committee of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. He has participated in a number of multicenter clinical trials in MS, often as principal investigator, and has published in journals such as Neurology, the Journal of Neurology, the Journal of Neuroimmunology, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
