Aljoeson Walker, MD, is a clinician, educator, and researcher in the department of Neuroscience at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He has been a member of the faculty for more than 20 years. He is Program Director for the Headache and Pseudotumor Cerebri Clinics. He was formerly director of Neuro-Ophthalmology in the department of Ophthalmology for more than 15 years. He was an Associate Dean of the College of Medicine, where his primary obligations were in the area of minority faculty and residents.


Dr. Walker received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College and his medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. He completed an internship in Medicine and residency in Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina and a subsequent fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, South Carolina.


Dr. Walker is a specialist in headache. He has participated in numerous studies in headache, published articles, and given numerous presentations local and abroad.
