Biography

Brian R. Kaye, MD, FACP
Dr. Brian R. Kaye is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and an Attending Physician at the Alameda County Medical Center (Oakland, California). He is a rheumatologist in private practice in Berkeley and Orinda, California. Dr. Kaye is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University, received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, and did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (San Jose, California). He completed his Rheumatology/Clinical Immunology fellowship at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Kaye is a past president of the Northern California Rheumatism Association and is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. He is the author of twenty-five articles, abstracts, and book chapters, and has served as a manuscript reviewer for the Annals of Internal Medicine, Arthritis & Rheumatism, Journal of Rheumatology, and Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine. He is listed in The Best Doctors in America: Pacific Region, and as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Best Doctors as named by San Francisco Magazine. Dr. Kaye lives with his wife and two children in Piedmont, California.
