This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists with an interest managing patients with MS.

Health care resource utilization associated with MS is significant and continues to rise. The continually evolving MS treatment landscape accentuates the need for increased disease and therapeutic knowledge amongst health-system pharmacy professionals to optimize clinical outcomes, reduce treatment variability, and increase patient engagement in their own care. Increased knowledge and competence will assist health-system pharmacy professionals in delivering quality care to MS patients and improving quality of life throughout the disease course.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to demonstrate improved ability to:
  • Review the potential impact of and value of real-world evidence to inform clinical decision making in MS
  • Assess where current and emerging therapies fit into the MS management algorithm
  • Evaluate the expanding role of telehealth and recommendations for managing MS management and treatment remotely
  • Illustrate treatment optimization approaches to balance costs with improved outcomes in MS management
