Robert J. Lipsy, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP
Robert J. Lipsy, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP. Dr. Lipsy received his BS in pharmacy from the University of Arizona in 1976. He received his doctor of pharmacy in 1985 from the University of Arizona. Dr. Lipsy completed a clinical residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Tucson, AZ, and a specialized residency in drug information at University Medical Center, Tucson, AZ. Dr. Lipsy is nationally board certified in pharmacotherapy and is a fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He has a broad range of professional experiences over a 30-year career including academia, community and hospital practice, and managed care. Dr. Lipsy is a noted lecturer and is the author of numerous papers, books, and book chapters. He most recently served as Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services for Health Net Pharmaceutical Services and is currently the Director of Arizona Pharmacy Consultants. Dr. Lipsy is also a clinical assistant professor in the department of Pharmacy Practice and Sciences, University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. Currently, Dr. Lipsy is in private practice as a pharmacy consultant to national managed care organizations and the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in drug information and informatics, clinical medicine, and pharmacoeconomics.
