Statement of Need/Program Overview
Through a multidisciplinary discussion format, the webcast will address critical gaps in payer understanding of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), including guideline interpretation, coverage implications, emerging pharmacologic options such as cardiac myosin inhibitors, and the importance of shared decision‑making to support individualized, high‑quality care. Using real‑world HCM case scenarios, the faculty will explore strategies to optimize benefit design, prior authorization, and access pathways to improve clinical and economic outcomes across health systems. Learners will receive targeted, practical insights that can help payers implement evidence‑based policies that enhance appropriate, timely treatment for patients with HCM.
