STATEMENT OF NEED / PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Atopic dermatitis (AD), or eczema, is a common chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin disease marked by pruritus and skin irritation. It is associated with substantial morbidity and greatly impacts quality of life. The majority (~67%) of patients have mild disease and are adequately managed by their primary care provider (PCP). Patients with more difficult to treat disease are frequently referred to a dermatologist or other specialist.

This webcast series is focused on AD diagnosis and treatment, impact of emerging AD therapies, adherence to therapy, and management of the pharmacy benefit. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of health care decision makers (HCDMs) from health plans, insurers, health systems, and other payers responsible for the benefit management, therapeutic category review, and AD clinical pathway development.
