| David K Nace, MD is a physician executive with over fifteen years of experience  managing both small and large healthcare organizations, as well as providing  disease management and health benefit consultation services to employers,  health plans, and government agencies. Currently, Dr. Nace serves as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of McKesson Health  Solutions, one of the world's largest healthcare services and information  technology companies. Dr. Nace is also a founding principal of Healthcare Strategy  Solutions; a healthcare benefits consulting firm serving large employers. Prior  to his current role, Dr. Nace had served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Medical  Director for United Behavioral Health from 1998-2004, and as Vice President and  Chief Medical Officer of Human Affairs International of the Aetna Corporation  from 1994-1998. Dr. Nace has also held medical directorships in a variety of  academic and community healthcare organizations, as well as a privately owned  EAP company. 
 Dr. Nace has played a leadership role in  healthcare and healthcare financing strategies in the US since the early 1990s.  He was one of the first chairman of the Healthcare Finance Council of the  American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, currently serves on the  Council of Economic Affair's Managed Care Committee of the American Psychiatric  Association, and serves as the APA's advisor to the AMA CPT process. He is also  a past Chairman of the American Managed Behavioral Healthcare Association and  the National Leadership Council. He has served as a consultant for the Child's  Mental Health Alliance of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Leonard Davis  Institute of Health Economics with the Wharton School of Business, and the  United Nations Business Council. He is a past advisor to the World Federation  on Mental Health, the World Health Organization, and the International Labor  Organization in addressing health promotion and wellness from an employer  policy and healthcare financing perspective, and is frequently called on as a  consultant to members of the Medical Advisory Council of the Occupational  Review Committee. 
Dr. Nace earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and  undergraduate degree magma cum laude from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy  and Science. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, completed a  fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is certified in Addiction  Medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He currently holds an  appointment as a Senior Scholar at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas  Jefferson University. He is the author of a number of original papers and  articles, and is a nationally recognized speaker on managed care, workplace  oriented programs, benefit plan design, disease management, health promotion,  and work life balance. |
