Biography


Robert T. Weibert, PharmD

Dr. Robert Weibert is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy in the School of Pharmacy at the University of California San Francisco, San Diego Program. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He teaches and practices in ambulatory care at the University of California San Diego Medical Center and is the Director of the UCSD Medical Center Anticoagulation Clinic. Dr. Weibert received his Pharm.D. from UCSF and joined the UCSF faculty at the San Diego program in 1977. Dr. Weibert has served as a preceptor for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Foundation Anticoagulation Traineeship Program and served on the National Pharmacy Cholesterol Council. Dr. Weibert recently received a Fellowship to Explore Alternative Therapies from the UCSD School of Medicine. His current research includes: herbal-warfarin drug interactions, bioequivalence of warfarin products and point-of-care prothrombin time testing. Dr. Weibert's publications include work on patient compliance, hypertension and oral anticoagulant therapy.
